Interesting thought, I might try that. Like you, I also enjoy a cool breeze on my face right after shaving.

My pre-shave and post shave are both with very cold water, the pre-shave tightens the face and I feel puts more of the beard "Out There" for the blade to hack off, and post shave to do the same thing for totally different reasons.
It's just better for the face to tightne up after a good close shave.
And to finish after the cold splash, then for the final touch I put Noxema heavy on the skin and let it soak in while I clean up.
Leaves my face very very soft and smooth. Somtimes I put a dab of bath powder on because SWMBO loves the feel of it!!

That's what I think, good by for now, tinkersd

I like to use cold water after a hot shave, really wakes me up in the morning. The cool breeze always feels nice right after shaving.

The cool morning breeze hit my freshly shaved face. It was an incredible sensation. I started to wonder if cold aftershave lotion- refrigerated or otherwise, would provide a similar experience to finish to a shave. Personally, I am a towel person, so my post shave project includes applying a cold towels, which I find invigorating.

Two questions: Has anyone tried using a cold aftershave? Are there any negatives associated with a cold aftershave?

    Thanks guys.

I have used refrigerated aftershave and like it.
