I use Roberts Borotalco on my entire neck, chest and shoulders. I apply it with a very soft goat hair brush. I like it. I once had talc applied to my face after a shave by an old world Italian barber. Felt great and all that, but being of Italian decent, my skin is a bit dark. The talc now made me look like a ghost, but it was great on the skin. So now I just go to places other than the face.

Actually, more related to Asbestos. I remember in the old days after a haircut the barber would apply talc with a horsehair brush to your neck which was trimmed by a straight and there would be this huge cloud all around you.

These days they think inhaling the stuff can cause cancer.

I guess I'm not long for this world eh?

Very rarely, if I am going some place special and my face is too shiny. Some aftershaves really give me the high gloss effect, probably depending on how much witch hazel it has. I do use talc in general in these sweltering summer months.

Hold your breath when applying it?...

Having never used talc I am left with a couple questions. Is the order aftershave and then talc or do you skip the AS? Is there a scent to the talc or is it just a neutral composition?

You use after shave first and let it dry, then you use the talc ( just a little bit). Most talc's that I have used have a scent to them but, it's not very strong.

My post shave routine is, Cold Water splash, final touch up with razor, after shave, lots of Noxzema, when soaked into the skin, I use bath powder to smooth my face for that final feeling of pampering my self.
Feels good and useing Wal-Mart's own brand, Great Value, it's fairly cost effective.

    Thanks.
I may have to try some one day. I suppose that I can never know until I try it what others see in a certain post shave treatment- and it might just have the light scent that I do not yet know I am looking for.

Cornstarch Baby Powder with Aloe Vera and Vitamin E or go to the baking department of your grocery store and buy some cornstarch and use it.
