Art of Shaving Lotion
Anyone else use this stuff? Man I use the scent free one and I REALLY love it. I've tried other lotions and my skin tends to be oily but I have never found anything as soothing.

I use the sandal wood myself. I have had it a while and enjoy them allot. I am going to try others when it runs out but it is a good product just a tad expensive. I have their pre shave oil, soap. And after shave balm. Really nice but like I said a bit pricey

Thanked: 154I use the unscented version too. Great stuff; it's the best after shave balm I have ever used.

Glad to see another person from Queens here in SRP. I grew up there before moving out to New England.
I agree that the AOS stuff is pricey, but that aftershave lotion is nice with a strong scent; a little of the lotion goes a long way. I have the Sandalwood travel set, which includes the pre-shave oil, cream, brush, and aftershave lotion.
I also have Jack Black Post Shave Cooling Gel, which is very soothing.Last edited by henryconchile; 09-26-2012 at 08:40 PM. Reason: Adding more stuff.

Thanked: 2284I love the AOS sandalwood aftershave balm. My wife likes it too. The price might be high but the stuff lasts forever. It soothes, moisturizes, and smells fantastic. The sandalwood smell, in my opinion, is the best sandalwood out there. What more do you need in a balm.

Thanked: 0I have been using a kit form them (Fine Badger brush, Lemon scented cream, pre shave oil, and after shave balm.) I love the experience. The balm is nice afterwards. The only thing that I use outside of that is some American Crew clear shave gel for lining around my beard, so I can see the individual hairs I cut. Outside of that, AOS Lemon is where it's at!

I hope to use the stuff for the first time and first shave this Friday night or Saturday morning!
I just got my razor and strop on Monday. In anticipation I had brought my fiance to AOS on Saturday and asked her to smell the 5 or so scents they have in kits. She kinda liked the lemon, said sandlewood smelled like 'dude' but in a flat tone of voice, and didn't care for the rest. I kinda liked lemon and kelp. She says none are bad, but she likes how I smell already. That's pretty much scentless or American Crew products.
Anyway, I bought the trial kit of scentless with a mini brush and coupon for the full kit. If I get the big kit and brush before using all of the starter kit, it will feel free, and I could save it for travel!
Do you guys think these products and the brush in the kit are worth the money? I mean, I'm only in $25 plus tax so far and could move on. $115 is a significant jump in cost.Backroads... Nature's Race Track

I personally only feel like the aftershave balm is worth it to me. The quality is just tops for me. I use scent free because I like my cologne

I don't have much experience with other creams and soaps but I keep reading there are other great ones Out there that are cheaper. The balm is awesome...even the pre shave oil is great. That is allot of money. But hey if you like it that is all that matters. I know I am going to make quite a few changes in cream and soaps in the future. For the quality I just think there could be something better for less money. My two cents.
