I think you might be wrong there about the cologne "Big spender" the one you are thinking about was called "Evening de Paris" it came in a very small dark blue bottle with a light blue plastic top my mum had it and loved it tried to buy for a few years ago but it was longer about the one I am talking about is a mans one

Yeah, aftershave is fine for your cheeks. Whoever told you aftershave is meant for neck, chest and behind the ears was thinking of cologne/EdT. Due to the higher percentage of fragrance oil, cologne is very drying to the skin. Besides, you'd end up smelling like a teenage boy or one of those greaseballs from Jersey Shore.
