I've been mixing dove mens AS balm with a drop of TOBS AS lotion (mr. taylors)...mellows it out and is a good way to apply just a little bit of the tobs evenly (I find it's very strong/bold) without it evaporating on your hands before applying it to your face.

Thanked: 37I'm currently using Nivea After Shave balm. Love it
Also Thayer's Witch Hazel
Aqua Velva for After, and also Clubman

I think Nivea is overrated.
If you Nivea guys tried the Dove for men AS balm (I always go with sensitive, I figure it's more soothing for your skin, which is what you want from a balm), you'd probably like it better. It's alcohol free and leaves your face soft instead of greasy (the reason why I don't like Nivea).
Just throwing that out there!

I've been using cremo moisturizer, like it quite a bit leaves my face nice and soft with no greasyness

Do you use these products after every shave? Just curious, because I used to have a daily post-shave routine but in recent years I now only apply AS after shaves that make my skin feel raw, which only occurs once every few weeks since I rarely do more than one pass.

Thanked: 1I haven't found any posts about my favourite ASB, so I hope it's ok for you folks if I introduce it here real quick.
It's called SEBAMED After Shave Balsam - a product of a German cosmetics manufacturer which has an outstanding reputation over here. They became famous in the 1950s by introducing pH-value neutral "soaps" and according to many fans (including myself) they rank amongst the most skin-friendly products availabe. My skin has given me a lot of trouble since I was a kid and I achieved some major improvements with a couple of their products.
Their ASB is just remarkable when it comes to a nourishing, non-greasy and quickly absorbed after shave balm. Scent - well, that's always a matter of taste, of course, but it's very lightly and naturally scented, so it doesn't interfere with your Eau de Toilette. On top of that Sebamed has a very strict company policy concerning biologically uncritical ingredients. I have no idea about the availability outside of Germany, of course, but if you should be able to get your hands on it, you should definitely give it a try - especially, when you got sensitive skin and/or want to cut down on your intake of questionable substances.
Second recommendation: Weleda ASB. Same thing here: Strict organic company policy - great product - this time not from Germany, but from Switzerland. Might be easier to get abroad.
