This pre-shave oil recipe has gotten around SRP and other forums.

I used to make my own oil using this recipe, but I stopped using pre-shave oils because they didn't really help my shaves. My first pre-shave oil was an AOS Sandlewood, which used the same ingredients.

But, you're right, making your own oil saves you a lot of cash.

It's fun to make your own stuff, and by doing so you know exactly what is in there. I do use preshave oils sometimes, mostly in the winter when the air gets rather dry, but I only use a few drops of it. I did make my own, but any savings were not noticeable for me - I made a 2 oz bottle and it is still near half full, over a year later

Sounds like you have enough to shave with and put on salads for the next 4 years. Doesn't your mother in law sell soap or something? Maybe she could help you sell it. I would look at the 99 cent store for bottles if your going into mass production. I don't use the stuff and maybe missing something. What I don't know doesn't bother me much :<0)

Just for the record, most olive oils in the market today have been discovered to not be pure. I may not be spot on here, but I believe the best test is to put it in the fridge. If it solidifies, its olive oil, if it stays liquid, its cut with other oils.

I know people who make home made olive oil. Do you want some?

A coworker told me this last year. I thought about it and found it reasonable, considering the wide range in EVOO prices here in the US.

I also read some online recipes from soap makers who use oilive oil and found that some recommend using the cheapest oil because of it's "impurities."
