Homemade Pre Shave Oil?
I wash my face thoroughly with hot water, pat dry and vigorously rub a couple drops of my home made magic oil and the oil and lanolin 100% absorb in to your skin (while I'm building my later) in about 2 mins your cheeks, chin and upper lip are tingly and supple. The skin turns so supple from this oil that it is more difficult to nic. I don't find that any oil softens the beard too much like other claim, but the defiantly prepare your skin beneath the hair to be shaven.
Anyway I swear by it.
I use a couple drops post shave too after AS and it's like a miracle- better the I've anything else I've ever tried
I have used eucalyptus and peppermint oils in the mix, and the work nicely as an antiseptic with mild anesthetic properties, the mineral oil really just keeps the lanolin and coconut oil in a more liquid form as both are near solid at room temp.Last edited by JoeLowett; 12-21-2013 at 02:10 AM.

I apply the oil after washing my face and patting dry. I build my lather while the oil 'sets in' and I splash hot water in my face before lathering.
The oil mixture I describe above is not terribly greasy or oily feeling- it's more of a light dry oil. Also only 2-3 drops are needed- it almost fully absorbs in the 1 min it takes to make a nice lather.
I also use 1-2 drops post shave that I rub in my hands and then apply to my face- it's great.......... Making Old Razors Shine N' Shave, Once Again.
