When I first started with a straight , I had no scuttle. I looked around the house and found the collection of glass and crystal bells once belonging to my grandmother. I placed it inside a large mug of hot water and used it for months. I still use it on occasion because the handle works well for lathering . I would like to see a potter make a two piece scuttle with such a design.

If your "lather bowl bell" were in my house it would have been in a cabinet like this that wife loves to fill up. She has this one and 4 or 5 smaller ones. She buys various stuff and it just sits in there forever. Money for stuff just to look at. Gotta be a girl I guess.


She has things that belonged to here grandmother and if I snatched one of those things to use for shaving,,, OH BOY!

I got the G20 for Christmas so maybe I'll sneak my SRD scuttle in her cabinet and see if she notices it. I told here one day I was going to get a china cabinet to keep my power tools in.
