Thanked: 22After some shaving with cold water i found very good and with very good results. The approach from the SME book was the one with best results to me. It was very good.
This weekend i'll do my normal shaving routine with warm water and decide between cold and warm shaving. Are you stressed???!!! Get out and go fishing!!!

Far too much to catch up with, but.........
I wonder if the hot water shave causes an expansion of the metal of the blade giving a less effective shave. You have to remember your basic science.
Hot expands stuff, cold contracts stuff.
Just thinking out loud! It's a dog eat dog world and I have on milk bone underwear.

Thanked: 12I've tried cold-water shaving now for about 2-weeks, and I am delighted to report that I experienced no skin irritation and when needed could shave twice in one day. I can't say that I necessarily experienced a closer shave GWTG, but I was satisfied with the results. When I went back for round two, going ATG, just as smooth as with warm-water prep. Rinse off with cold water now also, seems to help close the pores and tighten my skin before after shave stuff and lotions. Thanks for the info!!!! Joe

Makes me wonder, anyone ever use ice or chilled water?
