$0.50 bowl from one of the local flea markets. Looks like it might have originally been a chefs pinch bowl, but I have no clue if it really is true.

I have a real scuttle, pretty but never used! Local thrift stores are my source for pottery.

From left to right is a bowl from Etsy by Symmetrical Pottery, a mesquite bowl that I turned, a Moss Scuttle, and a Dirty Bird scuttle. I love all four of them. I tend to use the one I made the most because it fits in the palm of my hand and is the right size. The one from Symmetrical Pottery is very nice and worth the money but a little large. For it to work the best, you'd really have to keep a soap in the bottom of it. The Moss scuttle is a great lathering bowl even though she doesn't advertise it for lathering, rather for keeping your lathered brush warm. The dirty bird is great too, but large.
I have the same dirty bird scuttle and love it! May have to get another, as SWMBO knocked a big chip off of it. (Still works fine, but sure is a good excuse to buy another)

Have two purpose made shaving bowls. One from Maria Arman of Through the Fire Fine Craft.

The Maria Arman is my favorite bowl.
But I have recently received a Georgetown Pottery scuttle, and it will most likely be my permanent lather companion.

My favorite at present is a J. Mika scuttle. Good size for my Stirling Kong brush, and lathers very well due to the "scratches" . Can't find a shop on the net where they sell them. The scuttle is from Poland, and I got it through a group-buy on the Dutch Shavingsociety.

I have Edwin Jagger mug and I love it. Nice handle and relief bottom which help to make lather.

Nice scuttle. I'm a designer of this bowl made by Mika in Poland. I have got first piece ever. Cost in shop is about 10-15$. Unfortunately one seller who lives near this pottrery, buys these scuttles and sells on ebay about 200% more expensive.

I use a Muhle mug or a scuttle from SRD.

You designed a great scuttle Lewy! The members of the Dutch Shavingsociety who bought the scuttle really like it a lot. One of the members with contacts in Polen arranged the shipment from Polen to Holland, and we got them for a fair price.
Unfortunately I can't find them on the Internet.
