I don't notice the product. What is it. I bought some "Somersets" Maximum glide oil. It comes in a tiny bottle and they proclaim one drop for the face. Ha! One drop for both cheeks, under nose, chin area and neck. Ain't gonna happen. I am using it only to use it up as I notice absolutely no "Maximum glide" I think mineral oil would be just as effective? Any way, once more, what is the name of the product? Seems like everyone else knows, but I don't.

My guess is that pre-shave oils (or other ingredients that serve the same purpose) are already contained in many of the standard brands of shaving soap.

Well that just goes to show you how dumb old people can get at times. Who said getting old was a good thing. Ha!
Thanks for the reply. As you not I bought Somersets Maximum glide oil. Suppose to make shaving a whiz. From my experience I wouldn't advise using it or wasting ones money on it. I tries mineral oil and found it to be just as useless.
    Thanks for the reply.

    As "old people" have learned...
There is one objective in any business: TO MAKE MONEY!

People will market all sorts of useless crap with all sorts of false promises of wonderful results.
Once they have sold it to you, they go on their way drumming up business from other first time customers who will try anything once.

How often I have known this, but have still been suckered in, I don't have enough fingers.

I use melted bacon grease, at about 90 degrees. I have literally zero post shave irritation. There is the fly issue, which can get embarrassing, but totally worth it.
