Lucky Tiger pre-shave ("face cleansing stuff")
Just came today & very excited tomorrow to use it! I read a review on B&B that rated this stuff pretty highly plus a discussion on TSD that mentions this. Seemed worth it, since it's only $7 a shot from Appleton Barber.
Plan is to put it on in the shower, letting the heat help & then "hot towel" it off before leaving said shower. I'll keep you posted.

Is that the lemon stuff? I've heard a lot about it and people seem to think it's excellent stuff. I may need to pick up a jar.

Shave was great today, but ti was a 3 day beard--those are always easy to soften. A 1-day beard will be the true test, but all signs look good so far.

Today was a good solid shave w/ a dulling blade (going to the hones tomorrow) on a 1-day beard (the hardest for me to soften) after a very close shave the previous day (always a risk for irritation if I try to beat the closeness). I'll probably wait for a week of shaves before giving a ringing endorsement, but it looks good so far! Seems like it actually does something!

2-day beard wiped away Shampooed beard 1st, then applied, hot toweling it off @ the end of the shower, then reapplied a small amount as a sort of pre-shave. Made lather in the scuttle & applied to face via hands, rubbing in well. Let mixture sit while stropping, then rinsed off w/ warm water. Lathered w/ brush as usual. The razor is due to meet Mr. Norton today, anyway, so it was barely shave-ready. Shave was still close.
This stuff definitely works!

Still experimenting... I've found the best way so far is to completely wash it off (Dr. Bronner's works well for this) before exiting shower--otherwise it can actually make the razor slip when going ATG--at least for me. Then it works great.
