Proraso Pre & Post
I love this stuff and just thought I'd share that fact and see if anyone else does too...
I put it on while my face is wet and let it soak in while lathering. Then I put a hot face cloth on for a minute before I start to shave and I swear by the results. My hair is curly and very coarse and this makes all the difference for me. I have tried twice to shave without it and won't try a third time.
I love this stuff!!

Proraso . . .
Hello, Muscle:
Many here use or have used Proraso. Although I no longer use it, I am still fond of it. Good stuff.
I am a bit confused about your routine.
You apply hot water to your face, follow it with an application of Proraso. It sits on your face while you whip up lather. After you apply the lather you do the hot towel routine. So far so good.
After the hot towel do you apply another coat of lather before you shave? This is the part that confuses me. When I used the hot towel, I always re-lathered after the towel and then proceeded to shave.
Regards,
Obie

Thanked: 1195Yes, good stuff indeed. I've been using it for nearly every shave going on two years now. What I do is rub an almond size amount on my damp face (post shower) and let that soak in while I make my lather and prep my razor. I will generally give my face a quick splash of hot water before applying lather to my Proraso'd face. Also works great as a post shave for those tender spots.

I love it! It's like a mint candy for your whole face.

This stuff really works...I use it almost in every shave. I have converted a couple of guys to it, and now they can't shave without it. HOG

I've tried using it as a pre-shave, but it always seems to gum up the works, so to speak. I lose any hope of good lubrication, and the razor wants to catch and skitter.
Love it after the shave, though.

Thanked: 0Picked some up the other day, works wonders. Small jar will last awhile and it's super cheap. Can't complain

It's a fantastic product and I go back and forth between Proraso and Prep. I start every shave by shaving first my lower neck area with one of these two products.

Has anyone tried the Prep (brand and name) cream or know if it's still being sold anywhere?
