    Default Smush or Swirl

    Howdy folks.

Well I see a lot of talk about swirling the brush on the soap, but I'm a musher, I like to squish my brush intomy soap to load it before swirling up my lather, am I alone as a musher?

I tend to use a combination of the swirl and mush. Found that to work best for me.

I swirl it up and then smush it down. Alternating as needed.

I'm a swirler. I don't smush until I get to the mug. One more thing: IMO it's a complete waste of time and soap to presoak the soap puck before loading the brush. I just get out of the shower and start swirlin'.

You will commonly hear the verb pump being used in place of "smush", which, along with swirling, is an accepted (and recommended) procedure for making lather. Nothing out of the ordinary here.

Ditto...Why use one style when you can have them both?

I'm both a smush and swirl guy myself.

Not for me. If I don't soak the soap, its just too hard and doesn't load well at all. If I do soak it, it loads up beautifully.

no smush or pump for me.. i load up just the tips of my brush very lightly and then facelather away.. i use a small brush and only do a single pass.. so i don't want to load up more soap than i'll actually use.
