Thread: Smush or Swirl

Gentlemen:

For best results, I both swirl and pump the brush onto the shave soap to load it.

Add me to the list, I pump (smush) as well. I normally do soak my puck a bit, and the brush. I always have. You'll find each soap and cream has it own personality.
BTW, Last night I used Queen Charlotte, Basilica, good stuff btw, and I guess I didn't shake out my Rooney quite enough...(if your not familiar with these brushes, they are super dense) This cream/soap being dense as well, I tend to smush the brush into the bottom of the scuttle to get the bristles to spead out a bit, really work the cream. That and the fact that there was more water in the brush, than I had realized, gave me a lather explosion. It was ridiculous...

Just use any method that works for you. It won't hurt the brush no matter what you do within reason.
