Glycerine or Lanolin? I have found glycerine to make the lather clumpy to where it doesn't hang on as well. I personally have never had a problem getting a great lather straight off any of my soaps or creams.

Giving it a try:


$6 from a local pharmacy. I've not been unsatisfied with the lather I'm getting but what the heck, let's see what happens when I add a few drops. Will report back.

Okay, just gave it try for the first time. Five drops added to my lather bowl produced a thicker than usual lather, or perhaps stiffer is the right word. Not dramatically different but I'd say better.

The glycerine made my lather sticky. I too had not had a problem but wanted to give uber lather a shot
