Who is using glycerin?
I just started using glycerin two shaves ago, bought at CVS for $5, and WOW!! What a difference it has made! I could not believe it but the protection it gave my skin during the shave was incredible. I added it in with my CO Bigelow cream right before I mixed my lather and could barely tell it was there, but it made a huge difference.
What methods are you guys using with your glycerin? I would love to know. (How much, when to add, and any other uses)

I tried the direct method; 3-5 drops rubbed into the skin before adding lather and honestly didn't notice a difference. Is there a right way to do this? Anybody, anybody...?

I add 5-6 drops with my shaving cream and then create a lather. Some shaving creams don't need it, but with others and soap, it makes a difference.

Thats what confused me at first. With my preshave and shave cream being Proraso, and already containing glycerin, I thought it would be overkill but I was wrong, I love it!

I use with all my soaps, 5-6 drops.

I mix glycerin and lanolin in a small bottle. I add a couple drops to my scuttle when making lather. I find pretty much everything benefits from a 2-3 drops of this mixture.

I make my lather and then add 3-4 drops of glycerin and continue mixing.
I often need to add a bit more water too.
It seems to help with both my soaps (MWF, Col Conk) - I haven't tried it with my cream yet.Hang on and enjoy the ride...

I'm going to pick some up this Friday, I've heard too many good things to not try it.

I did my first überlather last night and it was amazing. I am definitely going to be using glycerin regularly, especially during the dry winter months.

Dammit! I have been drinking this whole time! No wonder my lather wasn't getting better.... Bowels have been great though!
