    Might be over thinking this....

A hot wet towel in a barber chair does two things.

    • Gosh it feels good.
    • Yes it softens whiskers, a lot like a shower would. But who takes a shower at the barber anymore?

Summer is here.... Find a hook outside to hang a mirror on.
Place a wash basin stand in front of it.
Micro some hot towels, go outside and flop down on the recliner and
have a hot towel moment. Listen to the morning, birds, cars, jets, kids, wife, silence.
Shave, rinse then wipe your face clean with the now cool towel and have at the
    day.

Either microwave or just use hot running water. Try sitting on the tub or on the can and lie back haha little bit more enjoyable.

Old gramps used to tell us in the old days when they started installing the first water closets folks had no idea what that porcelain contraption was and guys used to fill it with hot water and soak their faces in it before shaving. Then some city slicker came around and spilt the beans about it.
