Look at the Mantic vids , he always sucks his lips in. Pinching the brush down should be self explanatory, just grab the actual bristles with your fingers instead of the handle probably 1/4-1/2 way down.

I sometimes twist my brush on the side of my scuttle (or whatever you use to lather) to get the cream off the sides of the brush, that might help some too.

If not snot rocketing the shaving cream out of your nose is always fun, just don't use one with menthol.

Tried gripping the brush and the "improved soap-excising from nasal cavities method" this morning, and it worked far better. I still sneezed, but with time I'm sure it'll get better

When I shaved this morning I took note of how I lather under my nose and the answer is that I don't. I come over from each side on top of my mustache without actually going under my nostrils.
