Hey Unit,
I did the same thing! I guess great minds work alike . . . ahhh well that may be a bit of an over statement since I'm sure the old timers have already learned what we are just finding out.
Anyway, I found that if I load my brush up with my favorite soap and squeeze a half inch of Bigelow in the bowl, then lather it all together, that I get a nice lush lather that holds the moisture through out the whole pass.
AND, the added benefit for me was that my razor burn discomfort level that I had been experiencing in my problem areas, was much less.
Less pain = more fun shaving . . . whoo hooo!!Any day on this side of the flowers is a good day!

I don't plan on crossing over to the Dark Side of the Lather. I will stay with my Soap till Cream shows up. If I get it through a giveaway then maybe I will cross over. But I will have to figure out how to face lather with cream then.
Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

There was a proraso red that was discontinued a few years ago that I read some favorable reviews about, but I never had the chance to try. I wonder if this is the same stuff you're talking about or something different
As to the thread topic, you don't know what you don't know!
