Default just tried a new simple pre shave it was fantastic!

I learned from a gal that cuts my hair, when she shaved my neck she used hair conditioner as a pre shave. i tried it on my face the last couple of shaves and it worked awesome. has anyone else tried this?

Yep, tried it. Also tried mixing a little with the shaving cream in the mug, etc. Seemed to help some. Don't use it anymore, but in the beginning, what ever helps!!

You can find quite a few threads on it by typing "hair conditioner" in the search box at the top right of the page.

    Have fun!

    Best Regards,
    Howard

I always shave after my shower. when in the shower, I always use some conditioner and Stay soft shave cream on my beard. I t softens it up really well. Good find, it works well.

The more shaves I get in, the less I need in prep. These days it's just a splash or two of warm water, lather and go.

I've always used the conditioner in the shower on a shave day and I must say it most diffently helps. Also Jack Black face wash gets the hair real nice and soft befor a shave.

Just started using it as well in December. I was curious on how it would prep my face and just dig it.

My routine now is hot steam shower, noxema face scrub, hair conditioner for a few minutes. Post shower home-made preshave oil, and shave.

Post shave is using aloe-Vera baby oil cream and cologne.

Really enjoy the changes to the whole experience and output of the shave!
