I love the balm in colder weather and sometimes after an evenig shave as a skin moisturizer. The shea butter really works much better IMO than glycerin based products. I also agree that Eau des Baux cologne is a wonderful scent as is their Vetiver.

I've used L'Occitane products for many years the Cade hard soap is as good a soap as you'll find anywhere in my opinion the Cade cream is crap, their scents and balms are wonderful.

Thanked: 171I'm with Obie.
The entire Cade range generally performs quite well and I like the scent, but the shaving cream stands out - in a negative way.
I always hoped that L'Occitane eventually might wake up to this, but I am still waiting.
The metal case for the hard shaving soap is also quite nice, but the aluminum corrodes (on he inside) as aluminum is wont to do. If it only were a screw top, you could even take it on trips.
So, except for the shaving cream, a decent performer, but not terribly well thought out packaging. Which makes me believe that L'Occitance may consider shaving products only a low priority side-line.
