I agree Beard oil is expensive! I did the same thing as you and made my own with Jojoba oil, Coconut oil, Grape seed oil. Worked as intended and also as a pre-shave oil. I also made some stache wax out of Bees wax and coconut oil 50/50 mix. Although I usually don't sport a stache I do sport a goat-tee, doesn't provide great hold but keeps things looking well groomed and it doubles as a lip balm (minus the girly looking shine) winner in my book. I didn't mess with the E.O's
