Should you run short in stache wax, that string wax will work in a pinch.
BTW, what are you shooting, recurve or compound, w/scope, fixed sites, instinctive, stabilizers, release, finger tab, or glove. I really miss my archery, I was asked once if I'd be interested in shooting in the Olympics, I told the man, only if I can use my bow, my way.
This all started over a bet, at a indoor range, at twenty yards. I told the owner that I could put 5 out of 6 arrows in a bullsey, the size of a quarter, at 30 yards with my fixed sited, compound, using a finger tab. He said B S, if you can do it here, I could shoot for free that day. So I did it a few times for him.
The only reason I couldn't get that 6th arrow in there was, 5 filled the bull, but the sixth would be touching the line.
I didn't notice the guy in the store while I was shooting, but he and the owner approached me with the question of Olympics after I had finished.
I still laugh, when I think about it, because I'd belonged to a bow hunting club, where I began with a recurve, shooting instinctively, and we didn't allow target bows , stabilizers, scopes, or cross bows.
Wished I could stand in the lane with ya, Tim, but my arms and shoulders can't take it anymore. Damn..!! Those were some fun times.
Aim small, hit small. Go for the nock,Tim. [emoji38]Mike

Thanks for the tip about using string wax. Next league night I will give that a try! I don't use wax very often but my tube of Pinaud is getting pretty rolled up.
I have most types of bows from long bow to freestyle compound but at the moment my interest is mostly in Olympic Recurve.
I am the Minnesota State Indoor defending Senior Olympic Recurve Champion!
A pretty small class.....

Fun stuff it was. We had outdoor shoots. Most were animal targets, but we did 3D shoots, and night shoots where they put reflective tape on the eyes of the target. But you couldn't tell how the animal (target) was standing, or laying down. There were 60 targets set up in the woods, along a trail that had two shooting positions to shoot one arrow a piece from. Plus we competed with other clubs in Ohio. One club held a safari shoot every year, where the targets were life size.
Full sized elephants. Giraffes, monkeys, you name it. Yes spiders, n snakes too.
Funniest shoot I've ever been to. Every now and then you had targets of attacking natives.

The Pinaud didn't attract any females at leagues tonight.
Of course the three there were married and they shoot with their husbands.....
