Well, scratch that last post. The seller put "no cracks or chips" in description. I emailed them and asked again just to be sure. This was the reply
just looking over the bottle, there are no cracks, there is a small smooth looking chip on the rim of the bottle, it is very small. I don't think it would show up in a photo if I tried to send you one. My camera is not too good with close-ups.
If you want to cancel the auction it is ok with me. Just let me know.
eBay never disappoints.

I have hung out here being a wantabe.
Maybe here is my ticket?
The only info I am willing to divulge.
On my way from East Central Minnesota to North Central Texas to go to a razor meet I came across this.
I hope photography isn't a requirement!
A chip in the lip but should work fine.
Now I am wondering what vintage and how to best clean it etc.

Nice looking little bottle,,,,,,,,,,,,
Here is some advice I gave another Pinaud Operative on cleaning,,, maybe it will help.
"Dish soap the outside of the bottle,,,,, flush out large particles fron inside,,,, 1/3 white vinegar the rest water to overflowing of bottle let sit for a few hours. this kills germs loosens some stains on inside,,,, rinse,,,, if there are still brownish stains inside- two options,,,, I made a little brush out of clothes hanger crimping a piece of sponge to wash inside,,,,,, better option,,,, C.L.R. or ZEP Shower Tub tile Cleaner (Home Depot) about 3 ounces in bottle shake & coat inside,,,, shake & coat inside for about 20 minutes,,,,, flush fresh water very well,,,, the cleaners will kill all nasties the bottle has encountered & remove calcium water deposits(the water powder looking crap inside-- hard to remove without CLR,,,,, after final flush with water,,, pour an ounce or two of alcohol inside,, shake & coat inside 5 minutes,,,,, pour alcohol out let dry overnight. This is the way I clean my bottles. "

Mission complete with the hep of John. I did exactly as he said in the post above. I also had to make a cleaning rod of sorts. Took a metal coat hanger and bent it around piece of sponge really tight and cleaned it with that. It had some stuff that wouldn't just wash out.

Belive it or not these are the best 3 pictures I got from 20 or so!
It cleaned up pretty well. I experimented with everything from soap and water, vinegar, ice machine cleaner and lime remover.
For giggles my grandson and I took the label off the old bottle. Fun experiment, mediocre results. It will come off easy when I desire.
The chip is in the lip on the right side.
I had some time to kill before picking up my grandson so stopped at the drugstore and ordered six different Pinaud scents........
