Carl, take that Rollei out in the wild and see what scent grabs your imagination. I'm the "don't go to" guy for anything regarding scents - my sense of taste & smell are very slow to reaction/recognize. For a soap that delivers the shave, I'll be forever grateful to the honorable Obie for his recommendation of Provence Sante. The last puck went 16 months and delivered the goods every time. All Best to you, Carl.

    Tax back? What's that?
So get the regular Clubman. Talk about staying power! It get's stronger as the day goes on. Makes the old lady in the pew in front's eyes water! The birds will have flown before you arrive! Kids won't come and ask for money! I bought a bottle once. After that experience, I shipped it to a pal.
Lady at the PO asked if anything hazardous was in the box. I gulped and sez 'NO'!
    That....and it's cheap!

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Thanks, not a bad idea re. working out what smells I like in nature. I do like a pine smell but I don't want to smell like disinfectant :-)
I'll look that soap up, thanks for the post and best wishes :-)

We have a thing here where you can 'claim' (or not claim) the 'tax free threshhold. Not sure what the system is over there but here you pay no tax on the first 19, 400 you earn, and thereafter it's bracketed (i.e. different percentages for different 'brackets' you earn (below). I don't 'claim' the tax free threshhold, so I pay 37c for every dollar I earn. I think they sort of work out how much you WILL earn (based on each pay) and work out how much tax to take out; generally factoring in the fact you will pay no tax on the first 37 grand. Basically I work it they take too much out of my pay all year, and i get it back at the end. I see it as 'forced savings' I don't miss it each F/N and can make plans for the end of the fin year. I probably haven't explained it very well...

I did like the classic Clubman when I had it; and as you say it's cheap, so maybe it'll be part of the mix?

    $18,201 – $37,000: 19c for each $1 over $18,200
    $37,001 – $80,000: $3,572 plus 32.5c for each $1 over $37,000
    $80,001 – $180,000: $17,547 plus 37c for each $1 over $80,000

The other one that is on my list of splashes to try is alt Innsbruck which is supposed to have good legs on it...can't personally vouch for it though. Heard it described as a "less synthetic"
    Tabac?

You want strong? You like Bay Rum? The king of all strong bay rums is Captain's Choice Cat O' Nine Tails. Very powerful and warming. If I put some on early, I can still smell it at the end of the day after a good workout when I sit in the steam room.
