Ended up getting some Taylor's Sandlewood which is very nice, although I just splashed some on after a shower tonight; not after shaving. Can't say how long it may last, but I get the impression it'll be long lasting.

Also got some Taylor's Rose cream in the bowl. I read about this AGES ago when I first got in to shaving from The Art of the Straight Razor Shave by Christopher Moss and now I have some!

I have some sandalwood cologne by a different manufacturer, and it does have staying power, i also have rose shaving cream made by DR Harris, it is very nice, it reminds me of turkish delight.

I used the Rose Taylor's shaving cream this morning, Ed, it's very nice as one would expect. REALLY easy to lather and very cushiony...

OK, I might get some tobs next then. There is something especially refined feeling about using floral products

Sorry for the late reply Carl, but I might end up kicking myself for letting the cat out of the bag, but this has been my go-to scent for years. I always receive compliments and my wife loves it on me. If I can't buy it in the future I blame you...but mostly myself.

Wear it at your own risk.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

It's not a particularly strong rose scent Ed, but nice; and a very good cream as far as the lather qualities goes. I got mine from Himage here in Australia.

I can't say I have tried others, but if the vendor only has Geo F Trumper Rose, don't hesitate to try it.

I have tried trumpers violet cream, nice but i get a slightly uncomfortable tingle when using it. I also have the eucaris soap, though their soaps were getting bad reports i dont think it is tht bad, possibly not worth the asking price though.

Yes, i like the violet scent, it just irritates me slightly, not enough to not use the tube up though. The eucaris smells nice too
