Thread: Aqua Velva Musk is awesome!

Happy to report that I bought the Musk today and neither myself or the boss had a gag reflex reaction to it. It is really not bad at all.

Can't recall what it was that I had a reaction to at one time but the boss said I smelled like somebody spewed on me. Talk about unpleasant.

One scent I feel like everyone has a good reaction to is Bay Rum. I wanna finish my bottle up and grab some Captain's Choice since I hear great things.

Funny you should mention Bay Rum, I just got some. My initial feeling is that I am on the fence as to whether or not I like it.

I'm the same way. I love the ice blue but can't stand the musk. And I love clubman original, but the special reserve makes me gag,, colognes and after shaves are definitely. YMMV. Tc

I like Clubmans, but it bothers me when all day I hear "Who smells like the barber shop." I have yet to try any of the other Clubman products since they are not easily available. If I order aftershaves usually it is something a little higher in price range. Old spice is another easily found AS that I really enjoy. I would say give Bay Rum time; I had the exact same blah reaction about it and over time I really began to enjoy it.

The Bay Rum is another that doesn't suit me, nice, but not for me...my new everyday is definitely the Floid, like both the Blue and the Amber, love the big bottle it comes in, and the smell is terrific...seems to leave the face feeling great as well, not dry.

I have the Captain's Choice Cat O Nine Tails...it's definitely different, my wife likes it...and the it has a nice burn to it!

Yes sir, some do take time to grow on you. An instant hit for me was Tabac AS lotion and Tabac EDT. Colour me old.

Phrank what exactly does the Cat O Nine Tails smell like? I thought it was bay rum except with a crazy burn factor or is it a different scent?

I have to try the Tabac AS/EDT then...the shaving soap is one of my favorites...love the smell.

Now I am really confused. Is it the Cat O Nine Tails she likes or the bay rum?
