Thread: Recieved my After Shave samples. Looking forward to trying them.

Myrsol Agua Di Limon. No sting. Nice menthol effect. Left my face feeling nice and slightly powdery. As you can guess it is basically lemon scent and menthol. Both faded within a hour. Not a bad product. But once again cannot see going on the shelf.

Although not in my sample pack. While at Walgreens. Checked out the aftershave products they had on the shelf. Skin Bracer has potential. Put a dab on my wrist. I like the scent. Felt the coolness of the alcohol evaporating. Long lived. $7 Aqua Velva Ice Blue smelled nice. But didn't put it on. Guess I am old school with the scents I like..

Got a bottle of Vintage Skin Bracer AS today. It was half full. Mainly got if because it was a Limited edition glass right hand bottle.

It is spot on smell and menthol wise. With the bottle I already had from Walgreens. Not sure if the vintage had some extra Mojo in it from days gone by. But the wife wound up getting frisky when exposed to it. What's not to like about that.

Where did you get the AS samples?

Just received my package from Bull Goose. Pitralon Classic German version. And Alt Innsbruck. Was not able to get samples such as what I started this post about. But from the many previous reviews of them both. On her and elsewhere on the web. Took the plunge. Put a dab of each on my arms and am happy with both. Will post up my thoughts on them after I put them to their intended purpose. For what it's worth. Just my opinions...

Alt Innsbruck. Two thumbs way up. This stuff is liquid gold. Kind of a sweet smell but not over the top. Wife likes it. She noticed the tobacco flower smell right off. Scent lasts several hours. And I put it on lightly. Menthol kick a few ticks under some others. But nice. Left my face feeling nice. After the first use. This will always have a home on my aftershave shelf.

Pitralon Classic German Version. Another one for the shelf. This one smells to me, woody and smokey. Light menthol effect. Left my face feeling good. Scent lasted several hours but not in a overbearing way.

I welcome any recommendations from fellow members on other ones to try. I am only really interested in examples around $40 or less. I am sure I would like some of the more pricey ones. I just can't bring myself to spend that much on them.

Thanks for the reviews, I have most of what you've sampled and love the Floid's The vig is especially nice even in the fall

If you haven't already, get yourself a sample of Osage rub, Its a real face freezer!
