Thanked: 4830Shea butter and don't shave until it has healed. Oh and witch hazel can be most helpful.

Thanked: 3795I make my own from one part Cornhusker's Lotion, one part food grade aloe, and two to three parts Alcohol Free Thayer's Witch Hazel, depending on how thick you want it.
I got that recipe early on from an SRP member but I cannot remember who it was.
I've been using it for years and I put it on right after rinsing the alum off while my face is still wet. I follow it up with an aftershave a few minutes later.

Thanked: 30Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel for a light to mild one. Kyoko for Men Razor Repair Balm works really well for severe.

I used Nivea but it has been a long time since any discomfort. Thayer's is used everyday, though.

Thayers makes a superhazel which is a medicated witch hazel. I've found it's just the thing for razor burn.

I was using Nivea ASB and then for Christmas the wife got me L'Occitane Cade ASB and the stuff is great! Minor skin problems have improved and no dry skin.

I really like the Baume.be aftershave balm as well as the Castle Forbes Lime. Both are outstanding!

I have Nivea post shave balm and it is great stuff for the money. I also really like the AOS sandalwood AS balm my wife bought me. Both feel great on a bit of razor burn. As mentioned above let it heal before shaving again I have found to be best advice.

Immediately after shaving i use an Alum Bar, then a little Nivea AS Balm (lately).. About 5 minutes after i hit it with a mix of Aveeno, Castor Oil and Tea Tree Oil.
