    I agree.

So far, I liked all Nivea products that I have tried, but I might be genetically predisposed as my mother used to slap the ubiquitous Nivea cream in my face and on my hands when I was little, and it seems to have worked reasonably well in the following 65 years.

As far as scent is concerned, I never expected outstanding impressions from Nivea.
You might call it the Nordic antidote to the Proraso Green effect, as Nivea products tend to have a pleasant but otherwise unremarkable scent.
In short, I think of Nivea as dependable skin care first and perfume only second.

Regarding using Cool Kick as mosquito repellent, I might have to try that next year.
Either the mosquitoes in my neck of the woods have changed or I have become more sensitive to them, but the bites in the last two seasons were particularly bad.
Almost put me off having barbecues....

I've got a bottle of Nivea unscented balm that I've jazzed up with sweet orange EO and menthol-it's nice to use when you've got a bad case of razor burn or winter dryness.

If you want "cooling" freeze a shallow bowl and remove the bottom round ice "cube" to rub over your face. Instant relief if you have the burn.

It seems so obvious! But ice only helps when it’s on. That’s time consuming. And messy. A balm is SO much easier.

    Aloha!

I never really "gauged" the cooling effect of Nivea cooling balm. It "seems" to cool my skin. I've been a fan for a while. I just shaved with it a few days ago. All good as usual. A "Balm" that cools is not engineered to be like a "Cream" that cools. I think a slight cooling is what you get from most Balms. Others may be more intense.

I recently tried the new CREMO Coollng Shaving Balm. I really liked it. However, I hesitate to recommend it because to me it is cooling, but others may not sense much based on this thread.
