Among herbal medicine folks, it is pretty well regarded for skin conditions, but the smell is rough.

Never tried the oil, but tried an organic toothpaste once, did not smell bad, had spearmint in it, but tasted like … It was nasty. After a couple tries, I was done.
I have been using tea tree oil as a bug repelenent lately with good results. We have been having a Mosquito infestation of small black Asian Aedes mosquitos that go for the feet ankles and legs. A couple drops in a palm sized teaspoon of Avocado oil seems to work.
If I forget to put it on and go in the shop, the next day my legs a full of red welts that last a week or so and itch like the Dickens.
