need a new after shave
ok so i got a bottle of Pinaud Clubman a little while ago and LOVE it, used it alot when i was home on leave and my wife loved it as well, but out here in the desert it is really drying on my skin. So i was looking for something that would help moisturise but still have that wonderful burning and stinging feeling when you put it on. i just got a new bar of colonel conk bay rum soap and really like that smell, are there any bay rum aftershaves that have moisturising properties? or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated
thanks

If you can get your hands on some Burt's Bees bay rum aftershave balm, I doubt you'll be disappointed. It has a great scent and good moisturizing properties. Most of Burt's bee's shaving stuff is to be avoided, namely the soap. This stuff however, is excellent IMHO. I like it anyways....

Bigelow makes a Bay Rum balm as well. Haven't tried it, but I did a quick Google and dug that up.

I agree that Burts Bees bay rum is awesome, but I wouldn't pay the high prices that this stuff sell for on Ebay. If you like the bay rum scent and like a cream aftershave, I recommend Saxon Wood Spice. It's not bay rum, but it still has a spicey scent and will not dry out your skin.
Good Luck!

Good point, Jordan...I never thought of it like that...there are plenty of odorless balms out there. I think I had one from Nivea for men that was nigh scentless. I never gave a thought to using it AFTER the aftershave though.
Maybe it would temper the scent of the bay rum, the wife can't stomach it for some reason, so I normally wear it before I go to work, so it wears off by the time I get home.

Seem to be a lot of props for Bay rum
I have run into a whack of bay rum varieties and while I will be posting my review of a home made attempt in a couple weeks I thought I’d post this site that seems to be a good reference point for purchase products.
Note I affiliation to web site and I have yet to try a commercial bay rum product

I like the QED (www.qedusa.com) aftershave balm and skin conditioners. Charles makes an unscented one and I've often used that one on top of the Pinaud Clubman.
