I love Thayers witch hazel with rosewater.
I use it after shaving and to refresh throughout the day.
Not that I'm judging but lavender essence is for girls.
It is a girly smell, it has been linked mimic estrogen and facilitate gynecomastia.
Dr. Clifford Bloch
Now rosewater if made with roseoil is in itself a tonic and astringent.
And as such will effect upon the capillaries just below the skin surface, diminishing the redness caused by enlarged capillaries.
The rose also offers a soothing property to the nerves and emotional /psychological state of mind.
KISS who doesn’t like roses?

While I enjoy scents with my after shave my wife is suseptible to migraine headaches therefore if I am going to be around her (weekend) I will use the witch hazel as it really has no scent and works as well as any after shave.

Cute little set--I'll have to pick one up!
If you're new or just coming back into SR, the blue label Thayers is great!
And yes, us 50-year-old women do like our lavender and rose...even though I'm not a granny and am in fact a hard-core athlete (whitewater slalom racing in a kayak, and kayak polo.)
