There are many balms out there that work well. Some of my favorites are Proraso liquid cream (its named something like that) or QED, or even Trumper Skin Food, if the weather isn't too dry. See what works for you.

Yeah, I enjoy the aftershave lotion also. The sting and then the cooling rush afterwards tops off the shave. I've been using Aubrey's Mens Stock after shave balm following Dominica bay rum. The Aubreys has very little scent and is a decent moisturizer.

    Hello!

I've made good experiences with the unscented after shave balm from OLIVIA.
It is a really good moisturizer, heals razor burn and is also a good weapon against ingrown hair.

FWIW I'm particularly found of the Crabtree & Evelyn line of aftershave balms (in either Sandlewood, Nomad, or Sienna) and American Crew's aftershave balm.

Keep experimenting and have fun! Let us know what you end up trying and liking!

I have a Nivea aftershave balm but I prefer over that Nivea intensive moisturising cream which gives a better moisturising without alcohol. Before cream I use some splash and get an alcohol kick from it which closes the pores. Intensive moisturising is inexpensive too.
Maybe in summertime the balm might be better.
