    Default Manliest aftershave?

I dnt use cologne, and unless someone can give a really convincing argument of why I should, then i probably never will.

Because of this, I need an aftershave that has a really manly smell. The only ones I can smell (aka the only ones at target) dnt smell all that great. Any suggestions?

I dnt care if its alcohol based or not, just the smell and that it will soothe razor burn.

Reminds me of an old saying "real men don't eat honey, they chew bees". I think that as this thread develops, we will learn that "manly" leaves a lot of room for interpretation.

Just for the record, I use after shave balms with essential oils that will wear off very quickly. My favourite eau de parfum is MPH by Washington Tremlett. Arguably a very manly scent.

Gasoline or kerosene. Two of the manliest aftershaves. I love to splash on some aftershave and go out for a smoke.

    You made me laugh.

You can't get manlier than that.

Manly is a vague term in regards to aftershave or cologne. If the women in my life (friends or colleagues) complement me on my choice of fragrance, then that is what I consider manly. I have received complements for Speick Cologne and Musgo Real, and since I like them too, they must be manly. No manly man would argue with this logic.

Hoppe's Number 9 is a 'manly as it gets but I use Clubman Bay Rum and find it to be clean and subtle.

sweat, hoppes #9 and motor oil. garnish with pipe tobacco.

seriously, although those things smell manly, I normally wear this stuff:
Caswell-Massey Number Six Aftershave : Shaving Shop - luxury classic wet shaving products - straight razors
same aftershave scent George Washington allegedly used. Smells good, kinda citrus.

Aqua velva is also a good smell, as is Pierre Cardin pour homme. The wife also likes the smell of Bergamot Axe body spray, so sometimes I'll use that.
