I have the old formula that came in a cork accented bottle and box. The current stuff supposedly can get sticky if over applied. Many suggest having your face still wet to mitigate that.
To correct my statement above -- it comes in a "splash" and a balm. It's a thin, clear liquid.

Oh, and I like it a lot too.

I picked up the " la Toja" aftershave from Vintage Scent Co. site. Very very nice. I love the scent, not to over powering. 4711 from Germany is also good. Both stike me as old world sophisticated scents. Complex and subtle.

La Toja is on my list I have heard good things about that one.

We need to figure out a way to have a scent library, so that we could all trade some scents rather than spending $40 or more dollors on some fo this stuff.

A scent library; I like that idea. We could bottle up a varietie of aftershaves, a ounce or so, and trade. Any other takers.

I like TOBS, Ogallala & Brummel too.
Tobs and Ogallala are a little bit stronger scents but Brummel is mild and fades quickly.

You can get Brummel from vintagescents and I like it over the La Toja. La toja has a straight class bottle without plastic lid and it is more annoying to apply. Brummel has a plastic lid and it is easy to get a proper amount.
Brummel fades away quicker than La Toja.
    2 cents

Edit: I like the idea of scent library so count me in.

I pm Lynn the idea of the scent library to see if there could be a dedicated section, if a member wanted to try something he could post up what he wanted to try and trade one of those crack vial size bottles with another member. Or I would even pay for the vial size sample if I didnt have anyting to trade. I would rather pay $5 for a few drops rather than spending $40 or more dollors on something I might not like.

Did you know that you can buy a sample pack (bay rum bonanza from Ogallala.
It great way to find out what bay rum is your favourite.
I like the sandalwood comibination the most as it's little softer scent than plain bay rum. Lime and peppercorn is nice too.

Genuine Ogallala Bay Rum Bonanza! (ALL 5 OF EM!)

2 oz bottles so you can try many times!
