i wear colognes. most of the time i get what my wife loves. some times i will get one she tolerates but that i really love

If someone, especially the girl, said I smelled like I'd been drinking lysol I'm sure I'd have to reconsider my choice, but I choose for myself and luckily I'm picky enough that everybody else goes with what I do.

I work at a scent free office so the Thayer's Witchhazel and Aloe astringent goes on with an indistinct and practically imperceptible odour and doesn't have any smell at all after just a few minutes.

Outside of work, for cologne I substitute a Nigerian Green Musk essential oil that drives the women NUTS! It's not your ordinary aroma and I can't tell you how many times women standing near me will say, "what smells so good" and not believe me when I say it's me until I walk up to them and put my neck to their face. The light in their eyes at that moment is awesome. I can see them wondering if they should dump their boyfriends. Does wonders for my ego (like it needs it).

OK, I'll bite. Just what are the details on Nigerian Green Musk EO? I've never heard of it and can't imagine what it would smell like.

It's made or perhaps only blended by a woman in a private little market shop. All of the dozens of scents she has are geared toward women, but she says this one is REAL popular with the few men who frrequent her shop. I had a friend (may he rest in peace) who would regularly travel 500km to get it. When he came back from Korea (Hi Hal) he made sure to stop in and get a few vails. They're just under an ounce each I'd say and it has a tiny roller applicator. When I was using it every day, one would last me about 6 months! Yes, it's green and like all essential oils it reacts to body chemistry and is a little different for each wearer.

Oh my goodness ... (long pause) ... it is not an overpowering, musky heavy scent. Slightly floral scent.

I'm not sure. There's like a tinge of a soap, a clean smell, like a jasmine or something. It's making me drool. Ah, I love it. For a musk it's got a very clean scent to it. It just smells so delicious on you. Pitter-patter, pitter-patter. Why?

I also want to bring up the subject of fragrance etiquette. Out of respect for others, Cologne should be applied in such a way that only those in close proximity can smell it. I would hate to have someone take a sniff and say Rik has entered the room.

Think we've all had that experience where someone bathed in some awful smelling stuff and then prances around the office - usually in a building where the windows don't open and the AC sadistically decided to not work.

Right on. I was a waiter for a long time and sometimes the amount of perfume and cologne I would have to endure made me never want to use the stuff. Of course that has changed. The thing I like most about the scents I have discovered here is that they are seldom overpowering. I'm wearing some Trafalgar today. Lovely.

Also a scent free office?? While I have passed people at work who seemed to have bathed in cologne, scent free seems a tad draconian to me. Do they fire people who smell offensive?? How do they get around body odor, " Ok you stink, you're fired" Some people need scents

Like I said it's just a little shop and she has very limited hours, but I'll find out more for you.

And just because there's no colognes or perfumes permitted, doesn't mean washing is discouraged. It's for the hypoalergenic types af which there are a few. it's refreshing not to be assaulted by somebody's idea of a nice perfume. For deodorant, the crystal deodorant stick has no scent, works amazingly well and lasts a looooooooooooong time. One $7.99 stick goes for about 6-7 YEARS of daily use!!!!

There's a Nigerian Green Musk available on this site for what looks like a pretty reasonable price.
