Hello, Salazch:

I use Trumper's Rose Skin Food as an aftershave balm, following an application of Thayers Medicated Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera. After cleaning, drying, stropping and oiling the razor, and after cleaning the brush, the shave mug and the sink area, then I apply aftershave. By the then the fragrance of the skin food has settled and does not interfere with that of the aftershave.

I like the rose scent, of course, and the light, non-greasy texture of the Trumper's. The rest of it is intangible: it just feels good on my Hollywood face.

I am not sure what takes care of razor burn; I have not had one for years. If you are still getting razor burn, examining your razor technique and the razor's cutting edge are probably the best remedy. Obviously, cold water, witch hazel and skin food will be of some help.

Regards,
Obie
