I never got along with that burnt rubber smell from WH, but I found Thayer's (w/ Aoe Vera) to smell OK. It has a neutral enough smell that it is easily hidden by AS. And it's not a long lived smell at all.

When this bottle is done, I'll try some of Thayer's other scents.

I have the Unscented Thayers Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera and it is completely odorless. I mean, it smells just like water.

Scents of course-beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Personally I love plain witch hazel smell. The Thayers is very nice and smells nothing like plain witch hazel.

The Clubman line are very basic aftershaves loaded with alcohol. Some scents aren't bad at all and some well-stay away from Lilac vegetal. The bay rum really isn't bay rum more like clove spice but very nice.

    Default Thayers

Well it sounds like I might give Thayers a try and see how it is. It is not to expensive so if I don't like I can always toss it.

Or, you could PM me before you toss it and I will cover the shipping for you to dispose of it to me.

To add on to the OP's question, does anyone know whether this product created by Thayers would suffice as an aftershave solution:

Amazon.com: Thayer - Witch Hazel Toner-Rose Petal Alc.Fr, 12 fl oz liquid: Health & Personal Care

It might be a reach, but rose petal does sound enticing. Or is it strictly this product everyone is referring to when it comes to Thayers Witch Hazel:

    Amazon.com: Saving-Witch Hazel After Shave - 4 oz. - Lotion: Beauty

Thanks for any insight. And sorry if this seems like thread hijacking, I assure you that's not my intention.

Oh, and one last thing. Does anyone know local retailers in the states that might carry Thayers, or Clubman Pinaud for that matter (more than the original lotion found at CVS and the like)?

    Default Cucumber Scent Witch Hazel

I like the Thayer's cucumber scent ... but it goes away very soon after application. I have a hard time believing that the cucumber scent is strong enough to be offensive.
