My wife and I honeymooned there. We know we like it -- almost moved there!

Just figured I'd have some good-natured fun with our Dutch friend and try to get some free airplane rides at the same time. Hehehe.

Perhaps if you send him quite a few T&H samples...

This whole thing is such a new area for me I'm really at a loss so any exposure for me at this point is good.

I just don't think it's right to demand samples or act ungentlemanly towards the companies. Sure, you can rightfully choose to not try their products because of it and I can totally agree with that decision... and if you informed them of that decision in a gentlemanly manner I can understand that too. I just think it's wrong to make demands or otherwise be discourteous.

For the record, when I sent my requests to both GFT and T&H I asked specifically to *purchase* a sampler packet or alternately get a set of scent strips.

I would be happy to purchase samples from anyone and scent strips would work too...unfortunately more places dont offer this either. Probably because the good companies are overseas and the shipping would make the price unreasonable to many other countries.

    FYI,

Nordstroms only carries AOS products now. No more T&H, I asked them this weekend when I was in the store.

Maybe at your Nordstrom's but not at the one I stopped by tonight. I dropped by the mall on my way to the grocery store and they had a full lineup of Truefitt and Hill stuff, I picked up a tub of the 1805 creme. When I questioned the sales guy about it, he mentioned that no, they had no intention at all of losing the T&H line and in fact he had just returned from a 2 week training session put on by the T&H sales people to train him in how to use all the products, wetshaving, etc.

While I was there I talked him into going to classicshaving.com for a merkur DE and I talked another guy there who was interested in straights into going to Tony's site and getting a starter kit. I also talked both of them into going down to C&E and getting the $35 brush and in going to target for some proraso I haven't been doing this as long as you guys but I'm Irish and have the gift of gab heh.

Not sure if they will follow through but they were both pretty interested in what little bit of information I had and were *very* disgruntled with the whole 3 blade, 4 blade, 5 blade debacle.

Long story short, yes, Nordstroms (at least the one I went to) still carries T&H and has every intention of continuing to do so. I'll try the 1805 tomorrow and see how I like it!

Not all Nordstrom's carry the same items. In Utah, they don't have T&H or AOS products. I emailed corporate about it, and they suggested that I purchase online. So I replied that I do purchase online, with links to all of the places that I buy from.

Man that sucks for me! I went to this REALLY upscale mall and figured the Nordstroms there would have everything. Thats when they said they dont even carry T&H anymore, they made it sound like ALL the Nordstroms stopped carrying it. Hmm you guys know of any other store that carries the stuff? I am so sick of buying online, I want to be able to smell the scents and feel the brushes, etc!

Hey Ben? I'd love to fly you over here.....if I owned the country, an airline and was trying to sell it to you and knew you were serious about a purchase. But since I don't.....you'll have to pay your own fair
