have a favorite leather scented A/S?
currently I'm an english leather guy, but I have been hearing about other leather scents out there. up untill now the only other one I've ever tried was an old bottle of russian leather I found as a kid/teen that my dad had laying around (as I remember he didn't really care for it). anyway as much as I like my current A/S I would really love to find something that emulates the old bottle of russian leather I found way back when, or maybe something even better, especialy since russian leather used to be my favorite untill I ran out of it and found out they don't make it anymore.
so whats your favorite?

Thanked: 1195Well then, if not English Leather it has to be Spanish Leather by Trumpers . I've not tried T & H's version, so I can't comment on that.

Favorite Leather Scented AS . . .
Gentlemen:
I use Truefitt & Hill's Spanish Leather, Geo F Trumper's Spanish Leather, and Woods of Windsor, which has strong elements of the Spanish leather fragrance.
I love all three.
Truefitt & Hill's Spanish Leather is a doorway into heaven in its complexity and elegance. Trumper's Spanish Leather is like browsing through a British soap shop on a rainy day. Woods of Windsor is for that morning when you can't stop smiling.
I have used these three fragrances for years, and will continue to do so into the next century — if the Lord is willin' and da creek don't rise, that is.
Regards,
Obie

Amazing language. I especially enjoy "like browsing through a British soap shop on a rainy day". Incredibly vivid.
Thank you Obie for your wonderful simile.

Favorite Spanish Leather
Hello, Ryan:
I know you'll love Truefitt & Hill's Spanish Leather. I don't recall ever being without it.
The fragrance carries hints of citrus tied in a bouquet of flowers and presented in a leather vase.
I have always found the scent intriguing, like a late-night knock on the door by a beautiful and mysterious Victorian lady.

Obie

Well, I didn't know that when I started looking for an alternative to a no longer made russian leather that I would end up with an entire shopping list of things that I just have to try. To think I resisted RAD all these years only to get hit with A/S aquisition disorder. With descriptions like those I'm glad I only asked about leather scented A/S or I'd be broke by the end of the week.

Thanked: 220I got a sample tube of Geo F Trumper Spanish Leather once with a new straight that I bought. Turned out it was my favorite out of everything else I had at the time. I should buy some more. The sample tubes are a great idea, saves wasting money on a cologne you don't like.

Obie my good friend. I have T&H's Spanish Leather cologne and I love it. I was curious, however, are you referring to their cologne, aftershave, or both? What is the difference between the Spanish Leather cologne and aftershave (as they are the same price, I imagine the aftershave might just contain less alcohol to cut down the burn)? Also, how long does the scent of the Spanish Leather aftershave stay on your skin?
Thanks,
Brent
