I also agree AOS balms are outstanding, just be sure that unless you do go with the unscented which I think is for all skin types, there other scents Sandalwood, Lavender and Lemon are each for a specific skin type, you could probably use any of them though but some will be more moisturizing then others. They aren't cheap but only a very small amount is required so they last forever.

I'm not much after balms but whenever i use then L'Occitane is my one and only favorite. Nice scent, says my wife.

I personally prefer Al's ASB for a thicker balm. For something a little thinner and more cooling I like to use corn huskers lotion. It is available in a lot of places and relatively inexpensive.

Thanked: 23I have throughly enjoyed AOS sandalwood, it is very soothing if you have razor burn. My favorite part is the sent stays with you for awhile after shaving. It is not over powering but you can smell it for a couple hours after use.

This might be off topic, but I have almost stopped using balms completly after trying certain after shave splashes, namely the Lucido line from Japan.
Steve, if you want you can get in touch with me and come over to my place an I'll let you sample what I have hoarded since I started shaving... that way you can make your mind up after aving touched/smelled a few of these ASB's and AS's

+1 . I recently came to appreciate L'Occitane line of products...especially their Cade or L'Occitan AS balms. You can't beat the quality. Top notch.
I have used T&H balms...for some reason they leave my face itching (albeit slightly) throughout the day...I don't use them as often.
I also use the following with FANTASTIC results:
Mix a few drops of your favorite AS Splash with a few drops of Trumper's moisturizer...rub it in your hands and apply to face. There's no feeling like it...amazingly refreshing and moisturizing...all day long. All you need is your splash and Trumper's moisturizer

Robert, I totally agree. When my shave leaves my face less than perfect I mix my AS with my Trupers Limes skin food... amazing results!
