    I started rinsing off the alum by rubbing an ice cube on my face. WOW that is seriously refreshing!

    Thayers is great stuff but the best, for me, is from the grocery store when I add peppermint extract. THE BEST!!!!

    I use a pump spritz bottle to apply Dickensons after every shave. It smells like cat pee but it goes away quickly. My order is WH, cold water the Clubman Bay Rum. After that, my face isn't bleeding or red and feels refreshed

    The only witch hazel that I have found to stink is Dickinson's. What I do is apply the Dickinson's witch hazel, then follow it up with a splash of cold water from the bathroom tap to banish the smell.

    Thayers witch hazel has no smell that I can detect at all. It costs a bit more than Dicinson's witch hazel, but I think its worth it.
