Default Can I Refill A Vintage Old Spice Bottle?

    Hello Gentlemen,

I bought a vintage OS bottle from my local antique shop and I would like to use it vs. just displaying it. Any advice on how one could refill the bottle? The small opening seems like it would make internal cleaning and refilling a tough chore! I thought I might remove the aluminum top & plastic cap, but that would take away from the ascetics of the classic design...

I guess I shouldn't make such a fuss; I paid a whopping $0.38 for it, worse case it will be a cool addition to the shelf! I also picked up a couple of vintage medicine bottles that I plan on cleaning and appling vintage labels to. Should be a cheap, easy and cool little project!

Ive refilled them using a syringe and needle. Suck it our of a new bottle add it to the new bottle. I would think the alcohol in the aftershave would kill any germs in your old bottle.

+1, I'd do the same. As a matter of fact, I've used syringes to refil certain types of fountain pens.
    We have assumed control !

+1, A 10cc syringe or larger will make a quick refill of vintage bottles and decanters.

I would go the syringe method as mentioned.
I would use a beach & water mixture for at least 2 days, then flush; to clean bottle
    or
I would fill with white vinegar and sit for 2 days.

    Just a thought.

You could also roll a peice of paper into a funnel shape and stuff the small end in the whole, it would get you going until you found a better funnel, seringes dont sound like fun!

You can get those little funnels used for filling up the trusty hip flask. I would go with using one of those if you can find one. Ask at a Tobaccanist or where ever they sell hip flasks in your country.
I would also go for a rubbing alcohol fill first, then drain after a day and let it evaporate out before filling with some fresh OS from one of those hated new plastic bottles.
I'll be doing a refill of my old style bottle when I get some more OS, otherwise I'd send you my mini funnel if I could find it. Going to have a Captains for it tomorrow now I reckon.

a syrange would work so would a small plastic bottle that you cut the bottom out and made a funnel of it, ive filled a few decanters with a steady hand and a cut down plastic bottle.

Yeah but you're young, you should have a steady hand. You wait till you get to drinkin' age and see how steady yer hands are then...
