Default Just went out on a limb

and purchased some GFT Eucris Eau de Toilette. I've heard nothing but great things about this cologne and I know cologne typically smells different depending on the wearer but I recently ran out of my Abercrombie 41 (50ml for 60 dollars... no thanks) and decided to up the ante a little bit.

I'm 18 years old and love to smell classy/good around my girlfriend. Any good experience with this cologne and do you think it would be suitable for myself?

The only person who knows if it is suitable for you is you. If you like it, and (sometimes more importantly) if your significant other likes it that's all that matters. You may have been better off buying a sample first to test with on girlfriend, that's the surefire method to know if you're in the clear.

I don't have that particular cologne, but Trumpers makes a fine product so I'm sure you'll be happy. I have the Wild Fern and the Spanish Leather, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either.

I have a sample of it, it smelled a bit like mouthwash. Then I put it on and Mrs Rearview LOVED it. I'm not sure if it was the cologne or the fact that i've been hitting the gym pretty hard lately...

I did like the smell a lot more once I put it on as well though.

You know, there are a few colognes I wear, and have had woman actually tell me they could, "Eat me up", etc...One just said, "I'm Married, but whatever it is your wearing is driving me crazy" I'm not making this up..They must put Pheromones in the bottle. Normally, I wear John Varvatos (not vintage) or Full Metal Jacket is another one they love, and Lagerfeld, an oldie but goodie...

ok I was mistaken, the one that smelled a bit like mouthwash was 'Skye'. The Eucris smelled even better then I remembered.

It came in today! It's very class and it smells sort of like my vintage Polo cologne, except more "modern," if that would be the right terminology. My father at first thought it smelled like perfume, but then said that he could get used to it. I enjoy it and I couldn't stop smelling my wrists haha. It's not as modern and casual as Abercrombie or True Religion or Dolce & Gabana, but it is definitely classy, and I could see myself wearing it with a suit or button-down any day.

Anyone have any suggestions other than those listed above for a nice, modern, young, and causual cologne or eau de toilette?

I am a Trumpers man, and love the GFT scent, especially in the shave cream, almost the best of the best, but don't forget Ogallala Bay Rum, not fancy advertising and may take time to grow on you but well worth a go for classy old school. The original Bay Rum is nice, the wood options mellow it out heaps and the lime peppercorn gives it a surprising kick. They do a sample pack of 2oz bottles. Get one and share it with your Dad.

I couldn't have said it better Sam. OBR in it's varieties has really spiced up my life (pun intended). I've fallen in love with their soaps too. They lather soooo good, and the whole bathroom lights up with that spicy aroma. hmmmm.. Dangit, now I gotta go shower again!!

    Happy Shaving!!
