Superior 70 is a nice bay rum and it is economical.

Saint Johns Bay Rum has been a favorite since college days 45+ years ago. I use it as an after shave and a cologne.

McClas and Superior 70 both make mentholated versions of their bay rums.

I've only used Ogallala and Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island. Of the two, the Ogallala strikes me as more of a premium after shave. The aroma is more subtle, though still very strong with a minty quality. The Clubman is very strong and seems to be high in alcohol as judged by both its smell and the burn when applied. Personally, I prefer Ogallala. The Clubman is much less expensive and I feel the cost reflects the substance. There may be many who feel just the opposite. To each one's own.

I use Gabels...it's my go to Bay Rum...Clubman Lustray (I think that was it) didn't do much for me, nor did Master or Booster Island ...Body Crystal was good as was SB For Men

    Gags,

I realize that this post is a bit dated but I thought I'd add some helpful information. Krampert's Finest Bay Rum is now available nationwide through his web page. It's hands down my favorite bay run, and I've tried most of 'em. Just do a Google Search. It's the most comforting on the skin and the smell changes once applied to a great scent (not that it's bad to start with, just a significant change once applied).

    Have fun,

    John

Glad you liked it. Last I knew Bullgoose had the product in the custom whiskey flask on sale. Might want to check it out! It's really looking good in my shave den.

Captain's Choice is a great product. The regular and Cat O' Nine tails kick like a mule (the Lime is pretty mild) but they're moisturizing at the same time, great combination.
