    Aloha!

I'm traveling and have a limited selection. This morning it was Clubman Classic with matching talc. I got a complement in the hotel elevator soon after the shave. A little girl (5 years old?) said to her mommy, "He smells good, mommy." I guess that's better than the alternate!

    Chanel Antaeus pour Homme.
I've had this bottle for almost a year and I finally tried it.
Wow, just wow. A scent from another decade, that's for sure. My gut tells me it may not be safe to wear strolling through the mall. So it will likely be a stay-at-home fragrance until I am more comfortable with it.
Do I like it? You bet your boots. It is awesome! I just don't think today's whippersnappers are ready for this throwback fragrance.
I highly recommend you at least try it.
    Happy Sunday

Still traveling, so on my limited selection. I travel with those mini atomizer bottles, and I have four fragrances with me so I rotate through them.

    Clubman Citrus Musk today.

    Enjoy your Sunday, gentlemen.

Coco Chanel was a master of fashion both clothing and fragrance. And she was an amazing businesswoman that understood the power of branding. I bet that this fragrance is awesome. Never sampled the scent myself.

I hear you on "At Home Only" fragrances. Years ago I wore Xeryus cologne in public when if first came out. I had a few comments from coworkers and fellow passengers on airlines that I needed to "re-think" my cologne. Some were a bit more blunt.

Out of the mouths of babes, Dave. Children will always tell you how it is, straight-up. It's better than the alternative I suppose. Can you imagine hearing, "Mommy, he stinks!" That would have been an OMG moment.

I had this happen, not with children, but with two business women on an elevator at the Marriott in Boston many years ago. I had just picked up a bottle of the very strong and pungent Xeryus cologne and must have overdone it that morning or perhaps it just didn't agree with my body chemistry - or both. I got on the elevator that morning after splahing some Xeryus on and these two business ladies immediately let me know my cologne was over the top. Floor by floor they let announced that they could not wait to get to ground level and evacuate the elevator. I was running late or I would have ran back to the room, re-showered and put on a new suit, sans cologne.

    Oh yes.
I had a similar experience while wearing Tsar cologne (three sprays) and AS balm. (one of my favourite combos for cold weather)
It was a cold morning (-20C or so), and I met a colleague outside a grocery store. She commented on my cologne, from about 10feet away. It was complimentary, by the way, but still...
Since then, Tsar has been a one-spray cologne.
