    Now that's briliant, JB. Ants on a log with your daily shave? You got my vote for save of the day in July.

    You'd better "read the fine print" -- it's Akro, not Arko. I'll take part of the blame, since it was my choice/use of small lettering for the manufacturer's name -- I spent $60 for a 30ml decant (in a generic bottle), rather than $160 for the full, 100ml size.

    I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

    I am to blame, JB. I have noticed that recently (last couple of years), I tend to make more mistakes like this, along with typos when I post on Forums. Let's chalk it up to aging I suppose. I do not have dyslexia (that I know of), but I think I have become lazy and my eye scans things that my brain "closes" to convenience. I read Akro, but my mind told me Arko. But in defense of me, talk about SIMILAR? If someone had dyslexia, this name would be a very good test to uncover it. Thanks for letting me know.

    I did another Cella-Bration day today;

    I like Cella's Aftershave fragrance. It's definitely not Almond scented like the soap, but it has a clean, pure scent that I can not describe. I have been searching for a Cologne to match this scent. I read on one of the other shaving forums that Acqua Di Parma Cologne is a nice complement to Cella's Aftershave, matching the scent fairly closely while also complementing it. I happened to have a small travel bottle of Acqua Di Parma that was included in an Acqua Di Parma gift set that I received for Christmas, and yes, it is a very good match. So that's the fragrance of the day for me;

    If it's an almond-scented fragrance you're looking for, let me suggest Etro Heliotrope (see the link for details and reviews)

    Thanks, JB. I may try that to match the Cella soap scent. The Cella Aftershave is a different animal altogether. It complements the Almond from the soap, but it is actually no where near Almond in scent. It's closer to Acqua Di Parma for sure, that I can't identify either. It's just a clean, pleasant scent. I really can't place the scent of Cella Aftershave. If you read the reviews, many are disappointed when they get Cella Aftershave because they think it's going to smell like the Almond in the Cella soap, and it's nothing at all like Almond.

    Personally, when I smell that level of Almond, I get a chocolate covered cherry scent. I always have. Vidal Sassoon Shampoo used to have this scent when I was a teen, and my young nose even back then thought it was chocolate covered cherries.

    Marzipan!

    A really great shaving cream (more a "croap") is Cyril R. Salter Almond -- it's got that almond-chocolate-cherry thing going on (and, like all its "siblings," it explodes into creamy goodness when face-lathered).

    Finally, here's a photo of my first SOTD post using CRS Almond shaving cream -- it's from 24 April 2007

    Marzipan! Indeed. I have not had Marzipan in probably 25 years, but yes, that's a good way to describe the scent of Cella Soap. Actually, once you put the Marzipan thought in your head, it's probably closer to describing the Almond scent than Chocolate Covered Cherries is. I used to say, not just ANY Chocolate Covered Cherries, but Cella's Chocolate Covered Cherries. And isn't it interesting that both companies (the shaving company and the chocolate company) are both named Cella, and they have the same scent/flavor?

    If I were a teen or even in my 20s, I'd run out and buy some Marzipan and/or Cella's Chocolate Covered Cherries. But at this point in my life, that's just too much sugar to ingest. So I'll have to rely on memory.
