Gentlemen,
I had a bottle of the Pinaud Lilac Vegetable some years ago. My wife and two daughters said it smelled like public toilets and made me get rid of it.

The stuff was originally formulated for professional use in barber Shops. It had a strong scent and was cheap, cheap, cheap.
It had been pretty much forgotten about until the pentagon realized it could be used on the battlefield. Used in a projectile the enemy would surely give up once it went off. Also, my exterminator tells me it's a key ingredient in Roach spray. Once whiff and the pests leave pronto.
My wife and daughter have threatened to move out if I ever use it again. The urinal cake comparison comes up too often for me to argue.
edit: I went to the cabinet to give it another whiff... nope, still don't think it's for me...
That was my immediate thought when I smelled it. Urinal cake. I bought the bottle and never once used it. Horrid stuff if you ask me.

I take it that some of you guys don't agree with this interpretation of Lilac Vegetal. When I got my first whiff of it I was repulsed. First time I used it, 10 minutes later I thought I smelled the urine and couldn't wash it off. Then I refrigerated the bottle and I didn't think it smelled bad after that.
A real polarizing scent.
Traffic up Bucko ! It's a Manly scent!
(What do you want for 6.50$ for a big bottle!)
I love all the Pinauds except this one. The Tres Flores is not as over-the-top floral and Lilacy.
